The Clothes Horse is a specialty clothing company established in 1996. We have, and continue to, attend horse shows, trade fairs, and expositions with our merchandise. In 2001 we opened our website.

Originally started by Linda Johnson and Kathy Frank, it is now owned by Linda Johnson and her family. As Tennessee Walking Horse owners, breeders and exhibitors, we wanted garments that would celebrate the grace and beauty of the breed, while enjoying quality and current fashion trends.

I have now expanded into many other breeds and horse events. I work with owners, breeders and artists familiar with each group before creating a new design. Many of our current designs are based on the original artwork of Kay Lynn Sodorff, an equine artist, trainer and horse owner.

I strive to select quality fashion garments as the base for the equine designs. I do not create a large number of each individual garment, instead focusing on several different garments with the same design for greater variety. While some garments may be offered across the seasons or years, many will only be offered for a short period. Please keep that in mind if you find that we do not have a size or color in stock. Just as our designs are unique, we like the wearers of our garments to have individuality.
